Personal Style & Reflection:
Your Story In Every Detail
Your home is more than a backdrop, it is a mirror of your essence. Your well-dressed home should reflect your personality, not just the passing trends.
When working on designs for our clients, our aim is to bring this to reality within each space. We aim to make the space not only look beautiful, but to feel elevated, personal, and livable.
Imagine you’ve walked into a room, and everything feels just right. The color palette is balanced yet captivating, the textures layered like a perfectly styled outfit, and everything has its place, but nothing feels forced. It’s the kind of space that pulls you in, tells you its story, and quietly says, you belong here. That is what we call a well-dressed home – where intentional design meets lived-in beauty.
Customization is Key
Nothing elevates a space by optimizing pieces that are tailored and sourced just for you. Custom furnishings, bespoke cabinetry, or one-of-a-kind vintage finds infuse your home with uniqueness. Your home design becomes deeply personal and unforgettable.
Let it Reflect You
Are you bold and eclectic? Minimal and Serene? Nature-loving or art obsessed? Every design choice from color to furniture to the tiniest accent, should whisper or shout your story. We let your personality and pets guide us to design your palette and your piece.
Like a well dressed outfit, a layered room feels rich and complete. Combining textures brings depth to the room from linens with leather to velvet with wood or a tweed pattern. One of the most difficult areas for homeowners in creating this layered look is mixing patterns.
Functionality & Comfort: Design that Lives with You
Invest in Comfort
We believe it is important to invest in high-quality, comfortable furniture. Select pieces that are welcoming, support your lifestyle of your family, and your pet so that your furniture can stand the test of time. From selecting how a cushion core sits to performance fabrics with great cleanability, your furnishings need to work for you. A well-designed space should always feel as good as it looks.

Purposeful Design
Every room should have a purpose and serves you well. It can be a kitchen that flows effortlessly for entertainment, a dining room that also serves as the place for family game time. to a guest bedroom that serves as a work from home nook or to an office that can also serve as a music room. Your home should make sense for how you and your family live your lives.
Aesthetic Elements: The Art of Visual Harmony
When the home finally reflects your style and supports your daily life, it’s time to focus on the most expressive layer: the aesthetic. These are the pieces that bring life, beauty, and atmosphere into your space. These are the details that make people pause, look around, with their mouths agape, to eventually say, ‘This is gorgeous. ‘ This part of the design process is what takes the most thought to bring all the details together for a cohesive flow.
Color Palette - the Foundation of Visual Flow:
Selecting a cohesive color palette is one of the most transformative design decisions that we make. A thoughtful color palette creates a sense of ease, helps the rooms flow effortlessly from one to the next. It allows the individual elements to shine without competing for attention. You may gravitate toward warm neutrals, pastels or moody jewel tones, but it is important to stick with the tones that resonate with the feeling you want to invoke in your home. As designers, we want to ensure that we are consistent in creating harmony with inviting relaxation.
Light Creates Atmosphere
Lighting is one of most impactful elements in home design but can be overlooked by most. We design the lighting for our rooms through intentional layering to optimize functionality while playing with the artistic details. From ambient general lighting in recessed lighting, functional task lighting, and decorative accent sources, the layering process is essential. You can further create control over your lighting sources by utilizing dimmers and focusing on the level of Kelvin for your lightbulbs throughout your home to create the perfect atmosphere.
Artwork and Décor - Your Personality on Display
Selecting art and decor for your space is a fun and personal, yet important phase of pulling your space together. Do not feel rushed to fill a wall or a bookshelf– allow the space to evolve over time. We tell our homeowners to bring back pieces from their travels to layer into your space in a thoughtful way. Antique pieces that as passed down through generations of the family are a great way to bring personal touches. Bringing unique, sentimental pieces adds dimension and soul to your rooms.
Textiles Add Warmth, Texture and Movement
The perfect rug, window treatments, pillows, and throws are where softness meets structure. Textiles add to the layers of visual interest that are essential to a well-dressed home. We love to mix textures from tweed with velvet or linen with wool and playing with patterns from subtle to maximalism ways, but with intention. These materials elevate your space while making it more inviting for living and enjoying your home.

The magic of a clean, uncluttered space allows you to breathe and the elements of your space to shine without distraction. This is not to say maximalism decor isn’t recommended if that’s your aesthetic. It is important to have the room and space for those practical items that don’t play into the overall feel of the room. Investing in storage solutions that are beautiful, yet functional allows you to clear of the clutter that takes away from the room you’ve curated. Cleanliness is not only about order, but also about honoring our homes and creating a serene, elevated atmosphere for everyday living.
Not everyone has a green thumb so how we incorporate nature can be different in each home, but incorporating plants into your space introduces shape, movement, and an element of the unexpected. Using lush green plants, sculpture branches, fresh flowers, or even materials like wood and stone add a fresh layer of energy to every space. One single potted plant can change the feel of a space, making it more alive, curated and connected to the outside world. Beyond the visual effect, let’s not forget plants’ added benefits in purifying the air around us.
In the end of the day, it is all about you and what you want to be surrounded with every day. From serene to eccentric, flooded with color to quiet neutral, or minimalist to maximalist, it all works when you have a design plan. It can happen overnight or gradually as your house becomes your Well-Dressed Home 😊
